I decided to do something different for the month of July.
I am using a 5 cards spread, using the lovely Anna K. deck.

The layout is a simple cross.

First position at the center is Focus for the month.
Second position, right above it, is Unexpected.
Third position, to the right of focus is Blessings for the month.
Fourth position, to the left of focus, is Challenges for the month
Fifth position, right below the focus, is the Advice.

What I got.

Focus Knight of wands.
Unexpected Hanged Man.
Blessing 10 of swords
Challenge 6 of swords
Advice Ace of swords.

At first glance
I see one Major. Hanged Man = Having to wait or surrender. Change of perspective.
Elements, 3 air, 1 fire, 1 water, no earth. Very active unstable month likely about communication and challenges.
Numbers.1 repeats twice in the air element. New concepts, new thinking.

My focus, Knight of fire.
In July my focus will be on how to make my ideas, my vision fly and my career soar to new heights.

Unexpected, Hanged Man.
Someone or something will cause me to stop on my tracks to look at things from a very different perspective.

Blessings, 10 of swords.
A long lasting issue comes to an abrupt end.

Challenge, 6 of swords.
How do I move from what was and it is no more, to somewhere I think is going to be better, but that I cannot yet envision?

Advice, Ace of swords.
Be open to new ideas/ concepts and ways to communicate. Welcome new opportunities with eyes wide open, clear communication and careful steps.

Visually speaking, the top triangle formed by the 6 of swords, the hanged man and the 10 of swords is gloomy and dark., but the bottom core, knight of wands and Ace of swords is light and bright. I think that my flame, my enthusiasm will not be extinguished, but it will be at first suppressed and then blown in a new improved direction.

The double presence of the one of air along with the Hanged Man leaves no doubt that something is going to end (maybe painfully) cleaning the slate for a new way of thinking to be expressed.
