2020 is a Universal Year Four.

January 1, 2020 by Anna

The Emperor from Anna K. Tarot well expresses the energy of the Universal Year Four.

The Emperor from Anna K. Tarot.

Welcome to 2020!

According to Numerology we are entering a Universal Year four.

From a Tarot perspective we are under the influence of the Emperor, Major Arcanum 4.

What does it mean?

2020 is going to feel more structured than 2019 was.

The purpose of a Universal year Four is to bring order, stability and to create clarity where there is chaos.

It wants to establish clear expectations and rules of engagement.

Quality is viewed as more important than quantity and reliability is valued more than creativity.

It is a year to think long term, to be organized and work with a solid plan.
This attitude will hopefully help us to finally battle climate change with a clear strategy, discipline, courage and perseverance.

Order and stability are top priorities. The mood in 2020 may be more serious and practical. Experience is valued.

Let me remind you that I am talking of the Universal year, that as such affects us all. In Numerology we all have our own Personal year, which is like our own island, where the Universal Year is the big ocean the island is in.

2018 is a Universal year 2

January 10, 2018 by Anna

Happy new year!

2018 is a Universal year 2.

What does that mean?

As we all know 2017 was a roller coaster for many.

2017 was a Universal year 1 and therefore energetically intense. It was a good year for single focus and purpose, for those that like to march at the beat of their own drum.

The year 1 was about new ideas, starting new ventures, going after our own vision and goals without much care for the opinion or needs of those around us.

The year 1 was about being in the moment, without much care for the past or for the future. The year one was creative, active, decisive and exhausting.

Many of us could not wait to leave 2017 behind.

Here we are in 2018 a Universal year 2. Gone is the energy, the single focus, the speed and the arrogance.

Now we have to make choices, we need to find a balance. It is time to start listening and looking for allies and mutually satisfactory agreements.

Progress takes now a much slower pace.
Arrogance and pushiness don’t work anymore.

Patience and diplomacy are now the way to go.

Time spent observing, listening and reflecting is a good use of our energy.

Knowing how to relate is key. Partnerships romantic and otherwise are blessed.

2018 = 2+0+1+8 = 11 The Justice card.

11= 1+1= 2 The High Priestess

The Justice is air energy, which is about mental agility, objectivity and good ethics. Justice is about restoring balance, by observing actions and consequences and making good , rational decisions that will also affect others.
The High Priestess is water energy. While air is active, water is passive.
Water is about feeling, relating, absorbing.
Water is not confrontational. Water likes to go around the obstacle, it prefers to merge.
Water is about intuition, dreams and inner guidance.
The High Priestess is about secrecy and finding answers within.

All in all, I would say that both Numerology and Tarot point out to a calmer year.
One where struggles will take more time to be resolved, but where results will be more balanced.

2017 was about leadership, good or bad.
2018 is about a better way to relate and diplomatically move forward.

How to calculate your personal year.

January 4, 2017 by Anna

How to calculate your Personal year

Let me show you how to calculate your personal year.

It is simple.

Add the day and the month of your birth to the year you want.

As an example, say you were born on the 11 of May and you want to find out your personal year for 2017.

11 = 1+1 = 2

May = 5

2017 = 2+0+1+7 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1

2+5+1= 8 Your personal year for 2017 would be 8.

Notice that in Numerology 11 and 22 are called Master Numbers, which means they are very powerful and don’t usually get reduced to a single digit.

In the calculation for your personal year Master Numbers are reduced.

I am in a personal year 7.
What does that mean?

In Tarot terms that would be a Chariot year, or in the Gaian Tarot deck, which I am currently using, the Canoe.

The Chariot from R.W.S. deck and The Canoe from The Gaian Tarot.

Both well express the energy of the number 7.

As you can see the person in both cards is alone.
In a year 7 we crave alone time to think and to do things on our own.

It is usually a year of self discovery, of expansion.
It is a time to go beyond the comfort zone to find out what we are capable of.
Self discipline, courage and a strong will are required to achieve progress.

Now let’s remember that we are all in a Universal year 1. I just wrote about that, if you missed it, here is the link 2017 is a Universal year 1. The year of the Magician.

As I said there, the Universal year is the ocean and the Personal year is your little island in it.

We know that a year 1 is a year of bold, creative , innovative actions.
A year 1 favours those that can think independently, that are willing to try new things and that act fast.

Look at your personal year and see where you are. To know the characteristics of each year check this link Personal year and Universal year number

Being in a Personal year 7 I should be fine, because I am willing to work hard and in new ways to achieve my goals.

2017 is a Universal year 1. The year of the Magician.

January 1, 2017 by Anna

2017 is a Universal year 1, the year of the Magician

Welcome to 2017

a Universal year 1.

In Tarot terms 2017 is the year of The Magician.

Every January 1st many of us feel like the person in The Existence card, The Osho Zen deck version of the Magician.

A new year is often seen as a chance to start fresh and create a new better version of ourselves.

To successfully do that, we need to let go of our mistakes and of the bad habits and concepts that keep us stuck.

In Numerology a year 9 is when we are asked to finish what we started and let go of everything and every one that does not help us anymore.

2016 was a Universal year 9, the time to clean up house and make space and time for the new opportunities and goals of 2017, a year 1.

In Numerology life goes on in 9 years cycles.

There is a Universal year which impacts everyone and a Personal year which represents your own little world.

The Universal year is the big ocean and the Personal year is your own little island in it.

For a more detailed explanation you might want to read another post of mine Personal year and Universal year number .

The 1 energy is intense, creative, single minded, original, self centered and self sustaining.

2017 will likely bring lots of changes and innovation.

It is a year well suited for creative, original people who prefer to work on their own and are not afraid of walking off the paved path.

The Magician represents all those people who march at the beat of their own drum.

The Magician is an A personality. Someone who is creative, courageous and who is skilled at many things. The Magician can inspire us, but he does not play well with others as he does not follow the rules.

In a Universal year 1 the time is now, not later.

It is a time for action and for decisive people.

Let me close with some good affirmations for a year 1.

Seize the moment.

You have got the power.

If you can visualize it you can create it.

Stay with it, don’t get distracted.

Just do it.

Personal year 6 and Major Arcanum 6, The Lovers.

January 22, 2016 by Anna

My Personal year for 2016 is 6, which in Tarot corresponds to Major Arcanum 6, The Lovers.

At the beginning of the year I wrote about the Universal year 9.

I explained the difference between Universal and Personal year.

To calculate your personal year number you must add the day and month of your birth, plus the year you are looking at.

In my case that is 15+9+2016 Since in Numerology we need to reduce everything to one digit 15 becomes 6 and 2016 becomes 9, therefore we have 6+9+9= 24 2+4= 6

I will try to explain the Personal year 6 through the eyes of Numerology and Tarot.

6 is a loving and caring number. Harmony is extremely important and the heart tends to lead the way.

A year 6 always follows a year 5, a time of challenges and instability.

The year 6 benefits from all the hard work done in the previous year and it is usually marked by progress.

Lovers from The Gilded Tarot deck, The Sacred Rose Tarot and Anna K Tarot

Lovers from The Gilded Tarot deck, The Sacred Rose Tarot and Anna K Tarot

The Lovers card is about love, loyalty, commitment.

It is about making important decisions. Making choices that reflect our values, our priorities and being committed to them for the long run.

The Lovers want to help, sustain and elevate each other. The Love of the Lovers is pure, strong, reliable and enduring.

The Lovers says yes, even when no would be a much easier answer.
The Lovers is willing to sacrifice, because it is the right thing to do.

A year 6 therefore is usually a year where the focus is on family, friends, commitments.

It is a year where time is spent helping others, sharing, sustaining. It is the year where the promise we made long time ago might come to haunt us.

It is the year where commitments are tested. In health and in sickness, rich or poor..

It is the year when loyalty could be challenged by temptation.
Where doing what is right might not be in our best interest.

The 6 and the Lovers are about harmony in and out.
It is about consciously making our decisions and having the courage to live with the consequences.

Welcome to 2016 which is a Universal year 9.

January 1, 2016 by Anna

Hi everyone and happy new year!

What is a Universal year, from a Numerology perspective?

A Universal year represents the opportunities and the challenges facing all of us, as a group.

A Personal year represents what is coming to you from the outside.

In other words, your personal year is like your little world, which is affected by the Universal year, the big World out there.

2+0+1+6= 9
The Hermit from The Sacred Rose Tarot deck and The Druid Craft TarotIn a Tarot deck the 9th Major Arcana is The Hermit.

I shall try to identify the theme of 2016 through what I know of numbers and of Tarot.

In Numerology life is experienced in 9 years cycles that repeat themselves.

9 is the end of the cycle.
Therefore, it is a time of completion and of letting go. Generally a year 9 is not the best time to start new enterprises. It would be better to use the year to finish what was started, or to make the necessary changes to bring it to the next level.

In a year 9 it is better to proceed with caution and avoid making impulsive decisions.

Listening and reflecting will be more productive than speaking out.

In a year 9 less is more. Quality over quantity. Silence is better than back ground noise.

A year 9 is a time to wonder the big questions of life and to bond with Nature.

The image of the Hermit reminds us of the archetype of the wise old man. The one who has the answers, but he is hard to find and reach. In other words, the only way to gain the wisdom we seek is by setting up on a long and treacherous path we must walk on our own.

The Hermit from The Gaian Tarot and from The Gendron Tarot deck. The Hermit suggests times when we feel alone, not understood or supported.

A time when we feel the need to escape the noise and the pressure surrounding us.

Many stories tell us of someone discontent with his life or his environment, someone who decides to leave his old life behind. The character proceeds to leave  his family, his belongings, his little world, in search for something better. Through the shedding of his belongings, securities and achievements he is exposed to new people, places and experiences. There is not much support available to him and so he has to become resourceful, adaptable, creative, independent, strong and eventually evolve.

The Hermit learns a lot about himself and the big world out there through his experiences. He learns what he is made of, what is truly important. His priorities shift and he becomes a new person.

The hardest part of all is when the new hermit decides to engage again with others. Will he be able to share what he has learned? Will he feel disconnected from society? The successful Hermit is the one that let’s his actions speak for himself. The balanced Hermit is confident enough  that does not need to preach. He simply lives in harmony with his beliefs.

I wonder if 2016 is going to be about how our world will transform and adapt to the changes created by this huge flow of people attempting to find a better place for themselves, one where they fit in.

A Personal month 1 is like an ace of wands experience.

May 10, 2015 by Anna

Ace of wands from Anna K Tarot deck

Ace of wands from Anna K
Tarot deck

Hi everyone.

Welcome to Looking at life through Tarot and Numerology, part 3.
A personal month 1 is like an ace of wands experience.

May is for me a personal month 1 in a personal year 5.

1 in Numerology is a time of new ideas, new opportunities.
A time of enthusiasm and leadership. A time to move on with life.

After the sadness and turmoil of last month, I am charged and ready to go.

My son moved out and I moved in.
He just turned 20 and he decided to go live with four friends.
Fortunately he did not move far, so I will be able to see him on a regular base. Yet it will not be the same.

Him moving out is an 8 of cups moment.
8 of cupsHe loves his family and his home, but at 20 he is eager to spread his wings.

Clearly I wish him all the best.
I cannot control his choices any more, but I can decide how to respond.

I have set up my new office in his old room and I am quite happy with the results. Everything I need for Tarot, Numerology and Reiki is right there. Now that I have a dedicated space for my work I will be able to extend my hours of operation,

The month is still young, what else will I take on?

Numerology, Personal month 9.

May 6, 2015 by Anna

Hi everyone.

Welcome to Looking at life through Tarot and Numerology. Part 2.

Numerology, Personal month 9.

April 2015 was for me a Personal month 9 in a personal year 5.
Personal months in Numerology are like little mini me of personal years.
They show the challenges and opportunities we will face in each given month.

9 in Numerology stands for the end of a cycle. It is a time to finish our projects, let go of people and situations we have outgrown. It is a time to let go.
The more we release the more time and energy we will have to receive all the new opportunities that will follow in a 1 personal month or year.

A Personal month 9 is not easy because it is hard to let go.

In Tarot the Death card represents those moments when something or someone has reached the end of the road.

Death card, from Anna K Tarot deckThe Death card is about inevitable change. It is about going through a door that will let us into a new environment or situation. New customs, new habits.

On Easter Monday, April 6, my loyal friend, my biggest fan, Max (my dog) , suddenly passed away.
He had been at my side for over 13 years.
I am not ashamed to say that for the first few days I had a hard time even breathing.
Weeks have gone by. I will miss him forever, but I have now regained my footing.

Also in April I had to come to terms with my son getting ready to move out.
He turns 20 in May and he wants to spread his wings.
8 of cupsIn Tarot that is an 8 of cups moment, when we leave behind something that we once treasured, but that we feel we have outgrown.
Clearly I wish him well and I hope his wings are strong and that he knows how to use them.

2015 is a Universal year 8.

December 31, 2014 by Anna

Universal year.

Universal year.

Our planet is on a year 8.

What does that mean?

2015 will likely be easier than 2014.

Creativity is strong, confidence is growing, things can finally get done. A year 8 can be very rewarding.

Since the Universal year influences all of us, that is good news.

Said that, we all have our own personal year, which represents the opportunities and the challenges coming our way.

My own personal year for 2015 is a 5.

A year 5 is full of surprises and change. There will be plenty of opportunities if I will be able to respond quickly.

A year 5 can bring a lot of progress if I take charge, mingle and go with the flow, letting go of what does not work and embrace new ways of doing things.

At the same time, a year 5 will be very frustrating if I stubbornly hold on to my plans when facing surprises along the way.

A personal year 5 is dynamic, exciting and tricky, as there is a tendency to overindulge our senses.

Do you want to know what is your personal year in 2015?

Add the day and the month you were born, to the year you want to calculate.
Reduce each to a single digit. If you encounter master number 11 and 22 reduce them too.

As an example, I was born on the 15 of September.

15 = 1+5 = 6

September =9

2+0+1+5= 8

6+9+8=23 = 2+3= 5

Happy 2015 !

Numerology Transits and Essence. What does that mean?

November 14, 2014 by Anna

NumerologyIn January 2014 I explained the Personal year.

Now I am going to try to explain the Transits and the Essence.

When I go through a Numerology year forecast with a client, I always explain that you need to look at the personal year along with the transits and the essence.
Why?

Because the Personal year is the equivalent of me telling you that at a specific time in your life you will be traveling north on a certain highway. You can visualize where you are heading and the exits you will meet along the way.

The Essence is the sum of the transits. The Essence tells you if on said highway you will be a pedestrian, ride a bike or drive a reliable car. You can see the impact that would make on how far you could travel on said highway and the ease or difficulty of your trip.

There are other things to consider while you read your Year Forecast.

The Personal year comes from the date of your birth. It is your connection to the Earth you live in. As such, the influence of the Personal year goes from January to December.

The Transits and the Essence come from the letters in your name. They reflect certain qualities of your soul. Each letter is unique and some are intense but short lived, while others last many years. Each letter is more active in your life at specific times. Like a member of a sport team. Sometimes they sit on the bench and other times they play a significant role.

The Transits and the Essence can stay the same for years or change more often, depending on the letter of your name. An A gives a lot of energy and leadership, but it burns out in one year. The letter I is emotional and moody and it lasts 9 years.

The influence of the Transits and the Essence go from birthday to birthday.

It is important to keep that in mind, particularly if your birthday is late in the year.

My birthday is in September. The shift of a new personal year will affect me starting January 1st, but If there is a change of Transit or Essence I will not feel it for 9 more months.

Someone with a January birthday will feel the energetic shifts from the outside (Personal Year) and the emotional one  (if their Transits or Essence change that year) at the same time.

Was I clear? Did I leave you confused? Feel free to ask me questions on my face book page.

Personal year and Universal year number.

January 1, 2014 by Anna

It has come to my attention that even though I love and value Numerology, I don’t write about it.

I am going to change that starting now.

Today is the first of January 2014.

2014= 2+0+1+4= 7

The Universal year for 2014 is 7.

What does that mean?

2014 in general will be a more spiritual year.

There will be less focus on the material.

There will be a less active pace, not as social.

A time where contemplation and reflection are priorities.

A time to assimilate all that has changed in the past 7 years and learn from it. That way, the world will be ready to welcome 2015 with a better attitude and understanding.

Are you on a personal year 7?
Not necessarily.

I, for one , am on a personal year 4.

What does that mean for me?

2014 is going to be a good year for me to work hard and reap the rewards.

It is a year that will offer me opportunities to grow, but I must be organized and disciplined.

It is important I build on strong foundations.

I am on a personal year 4.
Does the fact that 2014 is a Universal year 7 mean anything to me?

Yes. Society at large will be influenced by the wisdom of a Universal year 7.  I, and anyone else in a year 4, will be living in that reality, but contend and benefit with the energy of our personal year 4.

How do you calculate your personal year?

Month of your birth+
day of your birth+
the year you want to find out about.

Let me give you an example.

Let’s say a child is born on January 15 2014.

January is the first month of the year. 1

15 = 1+5 = 6

2014= 2+0+1+4 = 7

1+6+7= 14 = 1+4= 5

That child will be in a year 5.

A year 5 is all about embracing change and growth. Being flexible, adventurous and able to adapt.

The personal year of your birth, is also your Life Path Number. One of the most important numbers in your chart.
Perhaps we will talk about that in a future post.

In Numerology life goes on in 9 years cycles that repeat themselves.

Each year offers specific kind of opportunities and challenges.

A personal year 1
is full of opportunities. It is the best time to plant the seeds for the life you want. It requires courage and independence.

A personal year 2
requires diplomacy. It brings sensitivity. It is a time to nurture what you started in a year 1. It is a year where you may meet important partners.

A year 3
is great for self expression, networking, socializing and creativity. It is a fun year. It requires focus and discipline in order not to squander the opportunities for growth.

A year 4
is great to bring order and structure to your life and your projects. Attention to details is important.

A year 5
brings change. The opportunities to perfect what we built on the year 4. Keep what we like, change what can be improved. Surprises are in store, adaptability is required.

A year 6
is about progress and the responsibilities that come with it.

Family can be demanding. Love and understanding will be required to create harmony around you.

A year 7
inspires reflection and requires personal space and solitude. It is a time to ponder on life and find our own perspective on things.

A year 8
is a year to go for what you want. In the year 7 you hopefully understood better who you are and what you want.
This year you will see the results for the efforts you put out in the past 7 years.

A year 9
is the end of the cycle. It is the time to finish up your projects. Let go of the things and the people that you have outgrown. The more you let go now, the more energy and time you will have to receive and work with all the opportunities of next year. Another year 1.

I hope I was clear enough explaining this, so that you can benefit from knowing where you are in your personal cycle.

Feel free to ask questions or contact me to book a Numerology reading.

Happy new year everyone!
