Tarot and gratitude.
Looking for expressions of gratitude in a Tarot deck is what I am doing here. Yesterday in Canada we celebrated thanks giving.
A time to reflect on all we have in life to be grateful for.
I am only picking a few cards here. I am sure there are many more, please feel free to share your own associations.
I am working with the Rider Waite deck.
3 of cups. Three ladies dance and share a toast. They look happy and grateful to be together and for the bounty of fruits around them.
6 of cups. An older child seems to appreciate the presence of a younger one. He gives her some flowers. She gratefully accepts the gift.
6 of pentacles. A well dressed man is in the process of giving money to a beggar, while another waits.
The rich one recognizes his own prosperity and shares it with the less fortunate, who eagerly accepts the help.
9 of pentacles. A lavishly dressed woman stands in a rich garden with a falcon on her left hand.
I associate the card with someone who has done well for herself and who loves spending time at home. She appreciates and values her achievements.
Queen of pentacles. She is an organized, reliable and efficient person. She is grounded and practical. She is generous. She knows that she has enough to share with others and generously does so.
I hope you enjoyed it. Just a simple exercise to play with the cards and to recognize the gifts in everyday life.
