The Sun, Tarot Major Arcana 19. Innocence in the Osho Zen deck One of my daily cards today was the Sun, Tarot Major Arcanum 19.
I was using the Osho Zen deck, where the card is called Innocence.

The picture well reflects my emotions this morning.

I have a young dog, Misty, which is full of energy.
Today I took her to a beautiful park along the river not far from my home. We go there often.

Fall is in the air. As we walked leisurely I could not help but notice the beauty around me.

The trees, the green lawn, all the birds around us.
We met crows, all kinds of ducks, seagulls and squirrels.

I felt I had to take pictures in an attempt to share the joy.

I am old school, but I made do with the camera on my phone.

As we were walking among the beautiful flowers I felt so lucky to be there, able to enjoy such beauty.

As we walked along the river I noticed the level of the water was high making the river more beautiful.
I watched mesmerized the water moving gracefully up close.

As we approached the end of the park, I noticed three magnificent birds sitting gracefully on the branch of a tree above the water. I had never seen them before. I don’t know if I will again.

It felt like an unexpected gift. I peeked at them trough the bushes and the trees with the same playful joy of the old man in the Innocence card.

I am not sure why today I was so attuned with the environment around me, but I am glad I was.

The energy of the Sun card totally came alive for me today.

Reflecting about family and heritage with the help of Tarot.

My mom and her long time companion have just gone back to Italy after spending 25 days with me in Canada.

Family I was lucky to spend time with both.

While living and travelling with them, I had the opportunity to get reacquainted with my mom.

She looks very good for her age, but time passes for everyone. She has changed a lot. I was not prepared for it.

There is a new fragility about her. She has always been strong like a rock. The queen of Air I know, is now somewhat vulnerable. That changes the dynamics established between us over a life time.

Interacting with her has made me more aware of the changes in both of our lives.

As I reflect about family and heritage, I have decided to pick 7 Tarot cards to help me put into words what I am feeling.

6 of Water, 10 of Earth, 2 of Water, 6 of Earth from Gaian Tarot. The 6 of Water represents my childhood, my memories of growing up. It is a collection of snapshots of moments, feelings and experiences shared with people I once loved.

The 10 of Earth stands for my upbringing, for the times I grew up in, customs, traditions I have learned from my family and my country of origin.

The 2 of Water represents the love, affinity, loyalty and joy that I share with my family, my original pack.

The 6 of Earth is the give and get of every relationship. It changes over time and is different with every person, but at the base there is a common principal of fairness and cooperation.

The Wheel of Fortune reminds me of the inevitable passing of time and of the changes that come with it.
The now vulnerable children will grow and their strong parents will weaken. As adults they will perhaps have children of their own. If they are lucky, they will be able to depend on them when they too will become old.

Wheel , Lovers and The Gardener from the Gaian Tarot deck The Lovers card speaks to us of love, loyalty and commitment. Of honouring our promises and making important decisions from a place of love and compassion.

Lastly, the Empress (Gardener) is the nurturing and creative side of life. It is our mother, the one that nurtures, protects us, guides us, encourages us and eventually gives us the courage and the space to spread our wings and become who we want to be.

Never is the circle of life as clear as when several generations gather together for family events.

Playing with Tarot with a focus on travel and vacations.

As some of you know, I am the host of the Meet Up Guelph Tarot and Energy Healing Group and I host Playing with Tarot meetings once a month.

In those meetings Tarot enthusiasts get together to ask questions, offer suggestions and read the cards.

It is a collaborative effort aimed at deepening our knowledge of Tarot while having fun.

In my opinion, new Tarot students often make learning harder than it has to be.
I certainly did. It is not all about memorization, it is also about paying attention and opening to the process.

Over thinking can block the intuitive process. I find thinking aloud helps.

One important step in learning Tarot is in becoming familiar with the cards. Playing with them is a great way to do that.

With that in mind I suggest a simple fun exercise.

I write this as we approach the end of June. Travel and vacations are on the mind of many.

I suggest you pick your deck and flip through the cards. Look for images that make you think of travel or leisure time.

Jot down just a few words for each. Do not over think it. Have fun with it.

Don’t look at my list until you have done your own.

The trip of a life time. A graduation trip. A wine tour. A vacation with a focus on food, drinks or pampering.

Sun.
Travel to places you have not seen before. A vacation in a warm place. Horse riding tours. A school trip. Taking time to travel after graduation and before starting college or university.

Unpleasant travel as in the case of people fleeing their homeland. Unpleasant time away from home due to illness, injury, unexpected expenses or just not fitting in.

Sometimes the simple answer is the best answer.

Sometimes what you see is exactly what you get.

Sometimes a leaf is just a leaf.

Please bear with me this morning, as I am less sharp than usual having slept very little last night.

The Judgement card has paid me a visit twice in the span of a few days.

Some of my interpretations for the card are the following.

Waking up to a reality that has changed.
Coming to terms with the fact that we have changed.
The realization that a decision has already been made.
Hearing our internal voice prodding us to follow a dream and finally going for it.
Surrender, rebirth, atonement.

I was reflecting on the card this morning while having breakfast when it finally hit me. As I said, my mind is a bit foggy today.

Last night, for the second time in the span of a few days, a car parked on the road woke me up again and again.
The car alarm went on and off for hours from 1:00 a.m. to 3:30 a.m.

Therefore, being woken up is a good literal meaning for the Judgement card.

Mother’s day and mothers in Tarot.

First of all Happy Mother’s day to all the moms out there.

I was lucky enough to go out for lunch with both my kids and many relatives.
We went to The Penny Whistle in Guelph. I like it because it has a huge menu and there is something for everyone, including vegetarians like me.

Each month I pick a different Tarot deck to work with for personal use. I always let my clients pick the deck they like most for their readings.

This month I am using the The Sacred Rose Tarot deck by Johanna Gargiulo-Sherman. It is a great deck. Small and easy to hold in my hands. Very colourful. I love that most of the people in this deck have crazy wild flowing hair just like me. I feel like I belong. I find that the Sacred Rose deck gives powerful and more intuitive readings.

If I were to reflect on motherhood through the eyes of Tarot, the Empress of course, would be the first card to come to my mind.
In this deck she is very pregnant. I would say that she could give birth any minute.
With the Empress I think pregnancy, motherhood, mother nature, creation and nurturing.

All the queens could be moms.

The queen of pentacles would be the kind of mom that will always have your back. She is the one that shows her love by doing things. She cooks lovely meals, she keeps the home clean and organized. She is creative in the garden, she is hands on. She is resourceful, she loves company and her home is always busy with friends and animals.

The queen of cups is the mom that always knows how you feel. She picks up your vibes loud and clear. She is the mom that will listen to you, feel and empathise with you, but that will let you fight your own battles. She will teach you to love art, dream and trust your feelings.

The queen of swords is reserved with her emotions and she most likely will not be big on hugs
and kisses and baby talk. She will show her love for you by attempting to always be prepared for every phase of motherhood. Reading books after books about pregnancy and child birth, early years and how to deal with teenagers. She will always try to be a step ahead of you.

The queen of wands will hug you and kiss you and yell at you. She will play with you and she will enroll you in all sorts of sports and she will push you. She is very competitive. She will encourage you to always give your best. She is a busy mom and you will rarely be bored with her.

The 6 of cups to me speaks of childhood. That time in your life were you read fairytales, dream day and night and when everything is possible. A simple time when it was easy to know who was the good guy and who was the villain.

Experimenting with Tarot reversals.

Do you use Tarot reversals?

If you said yes, can you tell me why?

If you answered no, why don’t you?

Through my many years of reading Tarot I have gone back and forth with this.

Actually, when reading for others I have been consistent in not using them.

When reading for myself I am much more adventurous and I have given reversals a try many times, but I always gave up.

I wrote about reversals five years ago. You can check that posting here before we go any farther. Reversed cards. Do you use them or not? Why?

Since then I have read a lot of Tarot books and done many Tarot readings and I have learned a few things along the way.

1) How to randomize a deck when using reversals.

You can divide your deck in two equal piles, turn one up side down and shuffle a few times. Repeat the process 3 times.

Personally I divide the deck in 3 piles. Turn the one in the middle upside down , shuffle the deck for a while. I cut the deck again in 3 piles, turn the one in the middle upside down again and shuffle for a while. Finally I cut the deck again in 3 piles and proceed with the reading.

2) When looking at reversed cards I now think of instability and difficulty expressing the energy indicated by the card.

3) I notice how the reversal affect the dynamic with the surrounding cards.

Let me give you an example.

I have just pulled out five cards at random to illustrate my point.

Robin Wood deck

The Tower is the first card I dealt and it is in the central position.

We are dealing with a sudden disruption. A substantial loss is likely. Our client sense of security is shaken.

The 2 of sword is the second card.
He reacts to the shock by freezing. He doesn’t want to look at the big picture right now or listen to people’s opinions. He wants to absorb what happened first, before making any decision.

The ace of pentacles reversed is the third card.
The loss indicated by the tower was most likely financial.
Perhaps the ace reversed suggests the person lost his job or his main source of income.
Something might have happened to him physically that now prevents him from working and providing for himself.

The Knight of pentacles is our fourth card.
It suggests our client is a hard working, reasonable, practical individual.
He is now looking at the situation as calmly as possible. He is attempting to develop a strategy, to make plans to tackle the situation.

Death is our fifth card.
The knight is facing it. Indicating he is ready to make some difficult decisions. He will most likely let go of anything that is not strictly necessary. He will cut all superficial expenses. He will make some drastic, but necessary changes in order to find stability.

Now let’s say that all cards stay the same, with the exception of the Knight of pentacles.

The knight is now reversed.
The client has lost his usual confidence. He is the kind of person that looks at himself through his achievements. His strength is in his own ability of making money and taking care of business. He is a conservative person that likes his routines and does not like surprises. He is not the most flexible guy out there.
Being reversed the knight is now looking away from the death card and he is concentrating instead on the 2 of swords.

This could indicate that he is not coping too well with the sudden upheaval. He is stubbornly refusing to acknowledge his new reality. He is refusing to look ahead and start the downsizing that his new financial situation requires.

I am trying to teach those of you who are learning Tarot how to recognize the energy of the cards in everyday living.

In Telling Stories using Tarot cards, I write about my life and then select some cards to tell the same story.

In the past couple of months I have had some small health issues.

First, I suddenly developed a pain in my left ankle that quickly got worse, ending up limiting my mobility. The strange thing was that I had not fallen, dropped anything on it. In other words I did not know why I was in pain.
It took me over a couple of months to identify the problem and take the necessary actions, but I am much better now and on my way back to an active lifestyle.

As soon as my ankle got better I came down with a very nasty cold, which is not over yet.
Just as I was fighting the cold I started to experience an increase of calls from new potential clients looking to book Reiki sessions.
If you are familiar with energy, you know that you do not want to go in people’s energy field when you are contagious. Needless to say I had to turn clients down. Hopefully I will work with them as soon as I am better.

I am going now to quickly select the cards to tell the story.
See if they make sense to you. We could use other cards, but these resonated with me.
Again I am using the Legacy of the Divine Tarot deck by Ciro Marchetti.

4 of swords. That is me feet up on the couch going nowhere.

Hermit. I finally decide to seek answers and figure out the source of the pain and why I am not getting better.

Queen of pentacles. She is the lovely specialist that explained my arch problem to me in a way that I could understand. She was also very approachable and kind. She generously suggested many practical and cheap strategies to solve my issues.

The Ace of swords is the clear picture and strategy I was offered.

The 6 of swords is me slowly healing and applying the suggestions given to me. I am not fully recovered yet, but I am heading in the right direction.

Now let’s look at the second set of cards.

4 of swords again. The cold sucks the vitality out of me.
Page of swords. I receive calls and messages.
6 of pentacles. The news are about exchange of Energy in the form of Reiki sessions.
Notice how fittingly the scale of the 6 of coins stands between the messages (page) and the 10 of wands, me feeling overwhelmed.
The 7 of wands is me taking the high ground. I am not well. It would not be good for me or my clients to be in very close proximity through a Reiki session.
The lady in the card well shows me denying access to clients and to germs.
The Hanged Man is me asking my clients to wait for their appointments, to give me a chance to heal first.

Telling stories using Tarot cards. Part 1. I have not written in a while. Life has been busy.

I am going to update you here in words first and then using cards.

Telling stories using Tarot cards is not new and I have written about it in the past.

It is a fun process and one that can help anyone familiarize with the cards.

Here I am not spending much time deciding which cards to use. I am not spending time editing the story. I want to go free flow.
A quick mix of key words for the cards or the first impression from the images.

I am going to pace myself.

One update, one story, a sequence of cards.

The deck I am using is Gateway to the Divine Tarot by the very talented Ciro Marchetti.

For the past five weeks we have had a guest in the house. Stella is a beautiful five months old orange cat. The firemen got her out of her home just in time. Another cat in the building was not as lucky. The owner of the cat, a dear friend of my son, found himself suddenly homeless. After bouncing for a while from one place to the other he asked me to keep Stella until he found a permanent place.
I love cats, but I already had a ten year old cat, who at the time was busy adjusting to the new puppy we got in August. My cat, Lovie, is not a fan of other cats.
I said I was going to give it a try.

Well, Stella is a lot of fun, but she is also a trouble maker. She is full of energy, super curious, very agile, a risk taker and if there is a danger she will find it.

Stella is in many ways very similar to my puppy, Misty.
They both are always on the move. They are curious. They are fast. They pounce first and think later. A fun, but tricky combination. They like the same things and they have been stealing each other toys. Misty and Stella are fascinated with each other and want to play together, but I don’t want an injury on my watch and therefore I have been keeping them separate, or I have let them interact under very close supervision.

Stella also wants to play with my cat, by chasing her. Lovie is at least double her size and she hisses at Stella the moment she sees her.

I have been spending time in a room with Stella, on a floor with Lovie and Misty, or in another room supervising the kitten and the puppy.

It has been fun, insightful and time consuming. My attempt to juggle my time among them, keeping harmony in the home is expected to last another couple of weeks.
Now let’s use the cards to tell the story.

The Tower is the unexpected disruption caused by the fire.
The 5 of pentacles is my friend suddenly out of his home and seeking help.
I am the Queen of pentacle, friendly and reliable and able to help.
The Page of wands is Stella, young, curious and full of energy.
The 6 of coins (pentacles) is my attempt to distribute my attention and energy equally among the Page (Stella) and the 10 of cups ( my dog and my cat).
It is funny how the cat in the 10 of cups actually looks a lot like Stella.
The 5 of wands well represents the tension caused by all the animals competing for space, love and attention.
The Emperor is me attempting to set rules of engagement among the pets to keep harmony in the home, 4 of wands.
The Temperance is the way I try to balance fairly the love (ace of cups) and the discipline (9 of pentacles) I give out to help everyone get along and not feel left out or jealous.
The 2 of coins (pentacles) is the juggling, timing and flexibility required to tune in to the needs of all of the animals and keep them living happily with me (Strength).

Personal year 6 and Major Arcanum 6, The Lovers.

My Personal year for 2016 is 6, which in Tarot corresponds to Major Arcanum 6, The Lovers.

At the beginning of the year I wrote about the Universal year 9.

I explained the difference between Universal and Personal year.

To calculate your personal year number you must add the day and month of your birth, plus the year you are looking at.

In my case that is 15+9+2016 Since in Numerology we need to reduce everything to one digit 15 becomes 6 and 2016 becomes 9, therefore we have 6+9+9= 24 2+4= 6

I will try to explain the Personal year 6 through the eyes of Numerology and Tarot.

6 is a loving and caring number. Harmony is extremely important and the heart tends to lead the way.

A year 6 always follows a year 5, a time of challenges and instability.

The year 6 benefits from all the hard work done in the previous year and it is usually marked by progress.

Lovers from The Gilded Tarot deck, The Sacred Rose Tarot and Anna K Tarot

The Lovers card is about love, loyalty, commitment.

It is about making important decisions. Making choices that reflect our values, our priorities and being committed to them for the long run.

The Lovers want to help, sustain and elevate each other. The Love of the Lovers is pure, strong, reliable and enduring.

The Lovers says yes, even when no would be a much easier answer.
The Lovers is willing to sacrifice, because it is the right thing to do.

A year 6 therefore is usually a year where the focus is on family, friends, commitments.

It is a year where time is spent helping others, sharing, sustaining. It is the year where the promise we made long time ago might come to haunt us.

It is the year where commitments are tested. In health and in sickness, rich or poor..

It is the year when loyalty could be challenged by temptation.
Where doing what is right might not be in our best interest.

The 6 and the Lovers are about harmony in and out.
It is about consciously making our decisions and having the courage to live with the consequences.

Welcome to 2016 which is a Universal year 9.

Hi everyone and happy new year!

What is a Universal year, from a Numerology perspective?

A Universal year represents the opportunities and the challenges facing all of us, as a group.

A Personal year represents what is coming to you from the outside.

In other words, your personal year is like your little world, which is affected by the Universal year, the big World out there.

2+0+1+6= 9
The Hermit from The Sacred Rose Tarot deck and The Druid Craft Tarot In a Tarot deck the 9th Major Arcana is The Hermit.

I shall try to identify the theme of 2016 through what I know of numbers and of Tarot.

In Numerology life is experienced in 9 years cycles that repeat themselves.

9 is the end of the cycle.
Therefore, it is a time of completion and of letting go. Generally a year 9 is not the best time to start new enterprises. It would be better to use the year to finish what was started, or to make the necessary changes to bring it to the next level.

In a year 9 it is better to proceed with caution and avoid making impulsive decisions.

Listening and reflecting will be more productive than speaking out.

In a year 9 less is more. Quality over quantity. Silence is better than back ground noise.

A year 9 is a time to wonder the big questions of life and to bond with Nature.

The image of the Hermit reminds us of the archetype of the wise old man. The one who has the answers, but he is hard to find and reach. In other words, the only way to gain the wisdom we seek is by setting up on a long and treacherous path we must walk on our own.

The Hermit from The Gaian Tarot and from The Gendron Tarot deck. The Hermit suggests times when we feel alone, not understood or supported.

A time when we feel the need to escape the noise and the pressure surrounding us.

Many stories tell us of someone discontent with his life or his environment, someone who decides to leave his old life behind. The character proceeds to leave his family, his belongings, his little world, in search for something better. Through the shedding of his belongings, securities and achievements he is exposed to new people, places and experiences. There is not much support available to him and so he has to become resourceful, adaptable, creative, independent, strong and eventually evolve.

The Hermit learns a lot about himself and the big world out there through his experiences. He learns what he is made of, what is truly important. His priorities shift and he becomes a new person.

The hardest part of all is when the new hermit decides to engage again with others. Will he be able to share what he has learned? Will he feel disconnected from society? The successful Hermit is the one that let’s his actions speak for himself. The balanced Hermit is confident enough that does not need to preach. He simply lives in harmony with his beliefs.

I wonder if 2016 is going to be about how our world will transform and adapt to the changes created by this huge flow of people attempting to find a better place for themselves, one where they fit in.

Why do I like Tarot parties?

Why do I like Tarot parties ?
Several reasons.

or
start doing Tarot parties yourself,

you may want to continue reading.

I know several good Tarot readers that will not do Tarot parties anymore.
Most of them have had some bad experiences.

Why is that?
At a Tarot party the Tarot reader is a paid guest of the host.
The reader usually is new to the venue where the readings will take place and has never met the clients.

The reader depends on the host to do a good job.

Some complaints I have heard from Tarot readers are uncomfortable surroundings, not being paid enough, scary clients, wasted time.

I have been doing Tarot readings now for several years and I love them.
Of course some parties are nicer than others, but I enjoy them all.

I have a theory of why Tarot parties work for me.

I do a lot of work ahead of them. How?
I communicate a lot and clearly with the host ahead of the party.

I explain what I do and what I cannot do.
I am clear on what I need from the host to be at my best.
I tell the host of the party that my deal is with her not her guests.

We iron the deal ahead of time.

How long I will be there.
How many readings I will do.
How much I will be paid, when and how.
The host is responsible to get her guests in the room I will be working in, one after the other without wasting precious time.

When I work in my home office I usually have much more time at my disposal.

I don’t usually do hours of readings all in a row.

I do get clients that are new to Tarot as well as others that are very familiar with it.
At parties most clients are Tarot virgins. They are not familiar with the cards and on how to formulate questions. They are not familiar with my style.

I find that starting with a brief introduction helps put the guests at ease, as well as speed up the readings later on.

I accept that I may end up working longer than I bargained for. All it takes are a couple of difficult readings or nervous clients.

My main goal is to do my best and give everyone a positive experience, myself included.

What’s in it for the host you may ask?
We know that she takes on work and responsibilities. Why?

A Tarot party is fun and engaging. It gets the guests excited and talking.
It is great by itself or as an add on to any party. Think birthdays, bridal showers, graduations, Halloween. New years eve is another great time . Everyone is curious about the new year.
What are they going to leave behind? What is coming in?

I offer my hosts a complimentary Numerology reading. Most of them are not familiar with Numerology, but they usually fall in love with it.

Wheel and two of fire.

Hi everyone.

Today we look at the Wheel of Fortune and the 2 of fire from the Gaian Tarot deck by Joanna Powell Colbert.

On Sunday my daughter and I went to pick up a puppy. We named her Misty.

Yesterday I pulled two cards to see what Tarot had to say about it.

Position 1 indicates the gift that Misty is bringing me.

Position 2 is the lesson that Misty is teaching me.

The gift is The Wheel, Major Arcana 10, earth.

Earth is practical, real. 10 reduces to 1 and is about endings and new beginnings.

Misty is offering me a fresh start. The opportunity to let go of the sadness and to embrace joy once again.

The Wheel is about cycles.

Some of you know that at the beginning of April my beloved dog Max passed away. I got him as a puppy. I watched him grow into a handsome, lovable, affectionate dog. As the years passed we witnessed each other’s joys, sorrows and transformation. I was with him as he passed.
He was my shadow and my loyal friend for twelve and a half years. His death left a huge void in my life.
Max and I went full circle. I protected him when he was small and vulnerable. We walked together strong and full of energy. We were there for each other when we were weak.

I took my time to mourn him, to process the experience and to recharge and build new routines.

During the Summer my daughter stalked every dog that crossed her path here and in Europe. It was clear she was ready to love again.
I was not so sure. I mean, I knew eventually I wanted another dog. I knew we could provide a good home. Rationally I understood that the pain of the loss was worth all the joy we had had, yet…I was hesitant.

Now I look at this beautiful independent puppy and my hearth opens.
Misty is a Sheltie, as Max was. Shetland Sheepdogs are smart, brave, playful and beautiful. They get along with everyone, they are lovers, not haters.
Max and Misty are different colours and he was a male and she is a female.

Misty is the Wheel in action. What goes down eventually must go up.

She is the breath of fresh air. She is the puppy in a home that had grown quiet.
She brings change. We have to be present and aware of our surroundings. We have a little one that does not know what danger looks like. She has not learned to speak our language yet. She thinks our adult cat would make a great play mate if she could just get close enough. Her curiosity and enthusiasm are contagious.

What lesson is Misty teaching me? 2 of fire (wands).

Fire is about joy, creativity, curiosity, enthusiasm, passion, daring, living fully.

2 are about choices, taking time to make a decision/ decide the next step.

In this deck a very hot, fit couple embraces while looking into each other’s eyes.
The chemistry, the attraction is clear, but their eyes are wide open. They are checking each other out. There is a strong attraction, they are clearly connecting, but they each hold wands that are on fire. It is dark around them. They each bring their own source of light.
What is Misty teaching me?
To fully engage in life again. To live life with energy , passion and curiosity. To be brave , take some risks. She is also teaching me to take one step at the time.
Misty wants to be with me because I give her food and shelter. I give her affection and joy through play. I offer her protection and boundaries. Yet, I am new to her and she is new to me. We have yet to earn each other’s trust and grow our bond. We are just learning to approach each other.

Learning from each Tarot reading. Is it possible? I think so.

Today, I had the pleasure to read for a new client.

It did not start well. The cards were clear, but when I explained them to her, she could not see how the message applied.

Four cards telling a clear story that the client could not relate to.

I wondered if somehow we had failed to connect.

It can happen. Years ago I learned that sometimes the cards are right, yet the client fails to make the connection.

Since then I am not so quick to dismiss the message.

Today feeling a bit uneasy, but determined to do my best, I asked my client if she had a specific question.

She did. Guess what? Some of the same cards came up again and the rest helped the previous message come through.

Is all good right?
Well…not really.

You see, there are some cards that are very clear in a certain contest or to answer a kind of question, there are others that are not.

As an example, let’s say I want to see what kind of partner you are attracted to or need to be happy with.
A court card is great. It gives me a lot of pertinent information, while some majors like the death card or the tower or the wheel will make my work harder.

I assume you guessed by now that this particular reading was not an easy one.

In the end though I think the cards spoke loud and clear. As I brain stormed how to interpret a challenging card as an asset, how a situation could describe a partner, the pieces of the puzzle somehow fell together to reveal a clear picture.

The message from Tarot was not what my client had hoped to hear, but it offered advice that she will hopefully use to make positive changes.

All in all they were not bad cards, just a strategy to create the change the client wants.

I always make clear that I am not telling anyone what to do. I just express the perspective the cards show me, something for the client to reflect upon and make her own choice.

I am grateful for today’s challenging Tarot reading.

It stretched my thinking. It expanded my understanding of some cards. It was proof that I have grown as a reader and that I have learned from past experiences. It also helped me to apply what I have been working on for the past year or so. Staying true to the cards and yet try to be kind. Stressing how often something that comes out as a negative trait, is a positive one that is used in excess.

What I am most grateful for, is the client.

She did not hear what she hoped for. She received advice that require some soul searching and some effort. The message was not clear at first, yet she remained open to the process. In the end I believe she understood and valued what the cards had to say and she thanked me. She is a smart lady and it was my pleasure to work with her.

Tarot readings by phone and Playing with Tarot.

Hello everyone.

After about a week of gorgeous weather, the sky has turned grey and the temperature has dropped.
I have been gardening like crazy and I must say that we need rain.
The soil is very dry.

I am enjoying my new office and I cannot wait to show it to you.
Be aware that it is now on the first floor. If you have difficulties climbing stairs please let me know when you book your appointment and I will set up for you on the main floor.

Lately I have been doing more Tarot readings over the phone and I must say I like them.

In person readings are my favourite, but phone readings work well too.

I like readings by phone because the energy of the client travels beautifully through his/her voice.

I also like them because they are very easy to schedule around my day and my family.
Phone readings are easier to schedule for odd hours appointments, or to fit a short reading in a busy day.

So, if you are hesitant about having a Tarot reading done over the phone, relax, it can be just as good.

Last, but not least, my next Tarot share is coming up.
The meeting is open to anyone wanting to learn more about Tarot or wanting to share his/ her knowledge. Playing with Tarot are not formal classes. They are a time to connect with others who love Tarot. Two hours to talk and read Tarot together.

Hi everyone.

Welcome to Looking at life through Tarot and Numerology, part 3.
A personal month 1 is like an ace of wands experience.

May is for me a personal month 1 in a personal year 5.

1 in Numerology is a time of new ideas, new opportunities.
A time of enthusiasm and leadership. A time to move on with life.

After the sadness and turmoil of last month, I am charged and ready to go.

My son moved out and I moved in.
He just turned 20 and he decided to go live with four friends.
Fortunately he did not move far, so I will be able to see him on a regular base. Yet it will not be the same.

Him moving out is an 8 of cups moment.
He loves his family and his home, but at 20 he is eager to spread his wings.

Clearly I wish him all the best.
I cannot control his choices any more, but I can decide how to respond.

I have set up my new office in his old room and I am quite happy with the results. Everything I need for Tarot, Numerology and Reiki is right there. Now that I have a dedicated space for my work I will be able to extend my hours of operation,

The month is still young, what else will I take on?
